Om Varhaug Old Churchyard
The old churchyard at Varhaug, “Varhaug gamle kirkegård”, is stunningly located on the Jæren coast. It boasts arguably the most scenic view of any Norwegian cemetery. The location has been a religious site since at least the 13th century and today features a small chapel.
The old churchyard is a good starting point for the hike along Kongevegen to Obrestad Lighthouse and Hå Old Vicarage, as well as the hike to Kvassheim to the south.
Veibeskrivelse

Follow Road 44 towards Varhaug. Look for the large signs to “Kongevegen” opposite a large barn. There is a small parking lot.
