Galdhøpiggen via Veslpiggen Vandring
Bestig Nord-Europas høyeste fjell
The highest mountain in Norway looms over the surrounding peaks, providing a stunning view of Jotunheimen National Park. Galdhøpiggen is more than a mountain - it is also a symbol of the relationship between the Norwegians and the mountains. But even as the mountain is the highest in Norway, it is not inaccessible.

Det vi skal gjøre
The trip starts at Juvasshytta and goes inwards to Styggebreen, where you put on glacier equipment. We head towards Styggebreen to the foot of Veslpiggen, and up to the top from the northside. Along the edge there is some climbing before getting up on the nice plateau, which leans slightly towards the summit. At the top you are often alone and have the peak to yourself. A wonderful experience and a spectacular view. Veslepiggen is 2369 meters high, and is among the highest in the country.

The trip starts at Juvasshytta if not otherwise agreed. To get to Juvasshytta, drive Sognefjellsvegen Fv. 55 from Lom, up Bøverdalen towards Sogndal. After 18 km, turn left off of the Nasjonalturistveger at the exit marked "Juvasshytta".
If you are coming from Årdal or Sogndal, turn right 4 km after passing Elveseter. The road can only be used by passenger cars and requires that you pay a small toll.
