From Oslo, take the NOR-WAY 161 Valdresekspressen route to the stop “Lemonsjø Fjellstue”. Note that this bus route only operates during summer.
Start your hike from Lemonsjø Fjellstue & Hyttegrend at 863 meters above sea level. Go past Kalven Seter before heading up the steeper hill to Geithøe.
From Geithøe the terrain is gentler and you will cross a small plateau with views of lake Tesse and the Tessefjellet mountains. From the plateau, it gets steeper as you head up the last section towards Trollhøe.
From the top you can either go down the same way or you can make it a loop by going straight north to Hesthaugtjørni lake and then down to Vellesætri. From Vellesætri follow the lakeside back to Lemonsjø.
It is also possible to take the ski lift to the top of the alpine skiing area, and avoid some of the initial climb. One single ticket costs 60 NOK.
