Om Sløtafjell

Located north of Mount Torshammaren and Mount Tyinholmen, and southwest of Mount Mjølkedalen, Sløtafjellet sits at 1,350 meters above sea level.  From the top, there is the perfect viewpoint over Eidsbugarden, the western side of Bygdin Lake, Vennisstordalen, and the beautiful mountains of Jotunheimen. With its only 350 meter increase, Sløtafjellet is an easy climb and is more of a characteristic viewpoint than a mountain peak.

On both sides of the road there were 13 cabins, all of which were completely dismantled by a huge snowmobile from Sløtafjell in the month of January / February 1983, fortunately without loss of human life.???

Turbeskrivelse

https://www.ut.no/tur/2.4569/

Starting from Eidsbugarden/Fondsbu hike down the road towards Tyinholmen Mountain Lodge, at the first left. There will be a wide trail on your right-hand side, you'll hike on this gravel path past several cabins before turning right towards Sløtabekken. Continue hiking on this road before venturing on the left side of the cabins with peat roof towards Sløtabekken. The trail becomes more defined, as you continue hiking along the stream with the valley on your opposite side.

where clear path is followed upwards along the pelvis. After a tighter party between the valley side and the creek, the trail becomes more evident, like a kind of stepping in the side above a rocky area. The path becomes clearer when the wooden trays marking the roundabout around Sløtafjell (widely used as "untidy winter") appear in height with Sløtatjern, and you can see the beechwood. Optional Option 5.1 crosses the Slotabekken here.

Here you continue eastwards (90 degrees to the right) in steady climb up to the top value (100 altitude meters). There is no path here, but the terrain is easy and you only have to find your own way up to the top. From the top floor, 150m to the southeast is seen, one more, all the way out on the edge. Here you can see and watch Eidsbugarden in bird's eye view (as well as the west end of Bygdin and Vennisstordalen).

-----

Between Torshammaren and Sløtafjell, Sløtabekken flows down the side of Eidsbugarden. You can walk on both sides of the pelvis, but by walking on the left side (Torshammar side), the pelvis must be crossed. From the first left turn after Eidsbugarden on the road towards Tyinholmen follow a broad path on the right, up to the bottom cabins in Sløtafeltet. It reaches the gravel road to the lower cabins (Sløtafjellveien). Turn right over Sløtabekken. On both sides of the road there were 13 cabins, all of which were completely dismantled by a huge snowmobile from Sløtafjell in the month of January / February 1983, fortunately without loss of human life.

Follow the road to the end and continue stepped path on the left side of the old cottage with peat roofs to Sløtabekken, where clear path is followed upwards along the pelvis.

There is no path here, but the terrain is easy and you only have to find your own way up to the top. From the top floor, 150m to the southeast is seen, one more, all the way out on the edge.
