Outtt AS, by way of the CEO, is responsible for the company’s processing of personal information. This policy contains information you have a right to receive when information is collected on our platform (Norwegian Personal Data Act § 19) and general information about how we process personal information (Norwegian Personal Data Act § 18 (1)).
It is voluntary to provide personal information on the Outtt platform. Some information is necessary to be able to access all features of the platform.
If you wish to use Outtt to record and store your own trails, or share trails with your friends, you must consent to the collection and processing of your personal information.
If you wish to book a guided adventure though Outtt, you must consent to the collection of your personal information. This information is forwarded to the operator of the guided adventure in order to book the activity.
Outtt, as the data processor, has responsibility for the operations, maintenance, and development of Outtt’s services. Only Outtt and its subcontractors have access to your personal information.
Outtt can be tested and used without requiring any personal information. If you wish to create a standalone Outtt user account you are required to provide a valid email address. If you elect to create an Outtt user account by connecting your Facebook account, Outtt will access the name you use on your Facebook profile. We also access your email address and profile picture so that you avoid having to add that separately. When connecting a Facebook account, you can elect not to provide Outtt access to your email address.
It is possible to use Outtt without providing access to your location. You can elect to enable or disable Outtt’s access to your location at any time in your device settings. By enabling Outtt to access your location you can receive access to several services:
Customer service uses Intercom for online messaging and email communications.
Individual data processing agreements between Outtt and third-party providers apply.
Outtt collects statistics about visitors to outtt.com. Examples of the information that those statistics provide is how many users visit each page, how long visits last, which websites users come from and which web browser they use. The information collected is use to deliver, develop, and improve Outtt.
No information is stored that identifies you as a user, so you remain anonymous. All IP addresses are anonymised.
We use the analytics tools Amplitude, Crazy Egg, and Google Analytics on outtt.com.
Cookies are small text files saved to your computer when you access a website.
The storage and processing of information using cookies is only allowed if the user has been both informed of their usage and provided their consent. The user should be made aware of and approve which information is processed, by whom, and for what purpose, ref. Norwegian Electronic Communications Act § 2-7b.
Cookies are used, amongst other things, to see how long you spend on our website, to calculate traffic and user patterns, and to improve the functionality and user experience on our website.

Anyone, upon request, has the right to access basic information on the processing of personal information in a company ref. Norwegian Personal Data Act § 18 (1). Outtt has provided this information in this policy and will refer to it upon receiving such requests. Those registered in one of Outtt’s systems have the right to access their own information. They also have the right to request that incorrect, incomplete, or information Outtt does not have access to process is corrected, deleted or supplemented. Such requests from registered users will be processed at no cost and within 30 days.
