Padleled Vestfold is a network of paddling routes located along the coastline of Vestfold county from Svelvik, in the north, to Larvik, in the south.

Skjellvika is a popular beach, located on the eastern coast of Østeøya near Færder National Park, and a great starting point for many paddling routes. The popular beach is surrounded by grasslands and beautiful rock formations. The beach is one of the most popular excursion places during summertime but a calm and peaceful location during other times of the year. The area also boasts beautiful coastline paths making Skjellvika is a perfect place to begin adventures both on the water and on the land.

In Skjellvika, you will need to carry the kayaks and equipment 100 meters from the parking lot down to the beach. It is very easy to launch from the beach. Fresh water and public toilets are accessible at Skjellvika beach. The nearest grocery store is located at Gjekstad, about 2 kilometers north of Skjellvika but in the summertime, there is also a kiosk with a limited amount of goods at Skjellvika. You are welcome to camp overnight at Skjellvika but you are only allowed to park your car for 24 hours.
