Tenvik: Padleled Vestfold

Padleled Vestfold is a paddling route along the coastline of Vestfold county from Svelvik in the north to Larvik in the south.

The small settlement of Tenvik is located just southwest of the island Nøtterøy and is a great starting point for both short and long kayak tours. From Tenvik, there is a ferry which goes back and forth to the car-free island of Veierland and during summer season the ferry also travels to Engø, located on the Sandefjord side of the fjord. This provides paddlers with even more route opportunities. This area offers great routes in sheltered waters but always be aware of the boat traffic.

In Tenvik, the best place to launch the kayaks is at the small beach just next to the ferry pier. You will be able to drop off the kayaks and equipment nearly at the water’s edge but the designated parking areas will be found a little further away from the water. At the ferry pier, there is fresh water and public toilets available all year round. The nearest grocery store is in Kjøpmannskjær, which is about 2 kilometers east of Tenvik.
