Batteriøya: Padleled Vestfold

Padleled Vestfold is a network of paddling routes located along the coastline of Vestfold county from Svelvik, in the north, to Larvik, in the south.

Batteriøya, Svelvik municipality’s millenium park, is one of the 28 entry points for Padeled Vestfold. Choose between three different routes starting from Svelvik and explore the beautiful coastline of Drammensfjord.

When paddling in Svelvik during the spring, you can enjoy the view and smell of the blooming fruit orchards that are popular in the landscape. In the fall, you can stock up on fruit and berries at one of the many farm shops and stands in the area. Also, the waters near Svelvik and Holmsbu are popular for fishing as fish seek shelter from the strong tidal current in the fjord.

The coastline of Vestfold is popular for both recreation and camping during the summer season. Embarking from Batteriøya provides a great adventure in the protected waters of Drammensfjord.
