Hiking in Hardanger

A journey to Hardangerfjorden takes you through lush green gardens filled with vegetables, apples and berries - you could also stop in one of the many small villages along the fjord. With spectacular mountains on both sides of the fjord there are many hiking trails and viewpoints to visit.

There are three different sections of National Scenice Routes in Hardanger. All of them are perfect entry points to great viewpoints and hikes across the region.

Bergen is probably the best and easiest entry point to the region together with Stavanger. Coming from Bergen you could easily get to a small village called Jondal. Hardangerfjord lodge is the perfect place for hikers, stay there for a couple of days and experience some of the nearby adventures. Great atmosphere and well tasting food makes the experience great.

End your journey at Hotel Ullensvang and visit some of the nearby adventures like Dronningstien and the Hike to Vøringsfossen waterfall .
