Kjøpmannskjær

Padleled Vestfold is a network of paddling routes located along the coastline of Vestfold county from Svelvik, in the north, to Larvik, in the south.

Kjøpmannskjær is a small marina on the southern edge of Nøtterøy. It is located along the water, just before the bridge connecting Nøtterøy and the next island, Tjøme. The marina has all the facilities that a paddler needs before, during, and after a kayaking adventure. Kjøpmannskjær is popular during summer season but during other times of the year, the marina can offer quite peaceful. This is a great starting point for both short and long paddling routes throughout Færder National Park.

Equipment and kayaks can be dropped off in the parking lot next to the KIWI market, but cars must be parked just across the road. Feel free to use the floating piers directly in front of KIWI as your launching area. An alternative launching area is the small beach on the eastern side of the boat docks, far into the bay. Fresh water is available at the harbor and groceries can be bought at the KIWI market. Public toilets are also available in the KIWI market during opening hours.
