Hiking in Geirangerfjord

The UNESCO World Heritage listed Geirangerfjord is one of the most stunning sights in Norway and arguably the most famous fjord in the world. The steep rock walls surrounding the fjord climb high above the water forming natural wonders such as the Seven Sisters Waterfall. There are many hiking trails and viewpoints around the fjord and each offers a unique perspective of the lush landscape.

One of the most popular treks is to Skageflå Mountain Farm. It’s possible to hike from Geiranger but start with the cruise to Skagehola for the best experience. Alternatively, get off the beaten track and head to Løsta via Westerås Farm.

Flydalsjuvet is a wonderful viewpoint and home to a famous rock. Take special care if you climb out for a photo as the drop is steep. Further up the valley is Dalsnibba with amazing views back towards Geiranger.
