From Mugnetinden there are magnificent panoramic views towards Jotunheimen and Bygdin with Kælvehøge, Torfinnstindane and Svartdalen as dominant eyecatchers. Furthermore you can see westward to Falketinden, Uranostind and Hurrungadn. Right below you are a lot of nice pasture farms.
A clearly marked trail sneaks into the landscape on the north side of Mugna up to Mugnebotten. The trail goes up between the two lakes in Mugnebotten, and a few meters after having crossed the creek from the north pond, lies a partially collapsed double reindeer pit with fences. The final section towards the top goes through boulder fields and scree, and perhaps over a snowdrift.
Domesticated reindeer are plentiful in the area, and maybe you are lucky enought to see those.
Should you wish to take a different path on the way down to Mugnebotten and still arrive back at your starting point, you can go straight north on the west side of the pond 1523 meters above sea level (not marked). Once you have passed the pond, gradually turn east and south and down east of Mugnebotttjednet. From Mugnebotten follow the marked trail back to the car.
