This is an easy and nice walk, excellent as a family trip where the youngest family member in a stroller may come along.
You take off from Fv. 293 at the sign "Remmen/Skogheim" and drive a few hundred meters further to the locked gate where you park your car and start walking. You can stay on the summer farm road the whole trip if you want, but you can also take detours here and there to make your trip more interesting.
A few hundred meters up the hill a road takes off to the left for the main summer farm belonging to Nørre Remme. Now you know!
But we stroll further on uphill. Right before you cross the stream Remmisåne, a sign is standing on the slope on the right side showing the old Remmisstølen. This is a nice detour along a cleared and marked trail.
Some meters above the bridge over Remmisåne is a path leading down to Skogheim, look for the sign "Kroklibakkadn".
On the trail crossing where the trail from Måneberg comes down you have anice view down to the village. 20-30 meters below where you stand now, there is a small stone cairn (which you can't see until you get down there). From this cairn there used to be a zip line down to the farm Møsåker, located directly underneath. This zip line was used to send down both wood and food. It was convenient and sufficient before the road was built.
25 m up the trail towards Måneberg, there are at least 4 cup marks on a large boulder up on the rocks on the eastern side of the trail.
The trip continues along the mountain farm road. The next magnificent viewpoint is at Høverstadstølen. On the outside of the road there is a large rock that is perfect for meditation and resting. The road continues through birch forest. Just before you arrive at Leirholsstølen, you cross Drøsja. This was home to the mountain farm Leirholsgårdene. From here you can either go back the same way, go towards Vennis or down the summer farm road to Leirhol and take the county road back to the car.
