Kvarntorp/Myllylä, which means the Mill Cottage, is an example of a fairly big Finnish farm. is situated on a hill north of the lake Lomsen, 10 km south of Lekvattnet. The buildings on this lovely farm dates from around 1770 and is very well preserved. The last person that lived on Kvarntorp was Klara Persson. She acquired the farm electricity by building a small power station in Kvärnälven. She took care of many ancient artifacts, and when she died in 1950, Torsby Municipality inherited a well preserved time memory.
Kvarntorp is open daily during the summer months and serves traditional food from Finnskogen.
