Getting there by car: The farm is located 5 km east of Vang center along E16 and is signposted " Kvam Gard, or about 50 km west from Fagernes along E16 towards Lærdal / Bergen.
1) How about a hike along the first main road through Vang from 1793 intended for horse and cart (Den Bergenske kongeveg)? You will experience the challenges of road construction before the dynamite was invented where the route follows the terrain up hill and down hill. Nice gras trail. Starting points are 2,5 km in either way from Kvam farm along E16.
2) The mule path from kV to the mountain farm is still in use when people and animals move to the mountains to exploit summer pastures. The trail is marked. You can choose to go by Hugakollen peak or continue below directly to the mountain farm. Great view.
