About Ørneflag

Ørneflag is the highest point in the Sør-Aurdal county and the southernmost top in Valdres.
From the South: Follow the E16 to Nes i Ådal and turn left onto road 243 towards Hedalen. From the North: Follow the E16 to Begnadalen and turn right towards Hedalen. From there, continue on road 243 South towards Nes i Ådal. Follow the signs to Vassfaret (toll road, NOK 60 in 2014). Park your car near the Bogbrua (bridge).

A private toll road leads to the DNT-hut, Storekrak. Follow it by foot or bike. From Storekrak, follow the T-marked track towards Gulsvik almost all the way up the valley (Ørneflag is to the right) until an unmarked path towards the top of Ørneflagg exits to the
right and follows the ridge northwards to the summit. Stunning view.
