Although the summit is only 434 meters above sea level, you'll get 360-degree views overlooking the water and mountains. In the east and south is the Buksnesfjord, in the west the Norwegian Sea, and in the north are the Himmeltindan mountains. You'll also see the Leknes plateau and the gorgeous Haukland Beach.
This hike is perfect for the entire family!
From Leknes, the trailhead can be accessed by driving in either direction on E10. If going southwest, turn onto Offersøyveien after 3 km before turning left on Voieveien after approximately 2.4 km. The parking lot is on the side of the road and can be found here, on Google Maps.
The trail is unmarked, however, its very well used so it's easy to find stay on it. Starting from the parking, hike on the tractor trail that leads into the forest, and turn left. Continue hiking on this trail until you reach the top. The final meters at the top are the steepest of the entire trip.
