About Forbundsfjellet

Getting There

You can start the trip from Lundes, by going up the left side of the Rondevegen (called Langbakken), or driving a car up to the top of the Rondevegen (at Trabelia), and park in one of the two parking spaces up there.

Trail Description

Then start the hike on towards Forbundsfjellet as shown in the map. The tour first goes down a gravel road to Slæen, and continues the ski trail up to Høgåsen. The first part, which goes over the marsh in Slæen, you may have to walk on the right side of the marsh, if the marsh is wet. Then follow the trail from the post marked Høgåsen, and continue on the trail inwards to the top of Forbundsfjellet. At the top of Forbundsfjellet, you get a great view south in Gudbrandsdalen, towards Kvitfjell and towards Jotunheimen. If you turn around you get a great view down towards Jønnhalt and inwards towards Veslefjellet and Muen. Follow the same road back to the parking lot and possibly on towards Lundes, along the path on the right-hand side of Rondevegen. Before descending towards Lundes, you get an incredible view inwards towards Rondane, with the largest summit Rondeslottet and Høgevarde.
