Essential info

About Vedahaugane

At the top of winding road up the Erdal Valley in the Aurlandsfjellet mountains is Vedahaugane. The viewpoint provides not only a point to admire the tall peaks of the distant Jotunheimen massif, but also a hidden artwork. A curved walkway and bench lead towards a small cave, where the art installation “DEN” explores man’s impact on nature over time.

Getting there

Vedahaugane is located midway along Norwegian Scenic Route Aurlandsfjellet, on Road 5627 between Lærdalsøyri and Aurlandsvangen. The parking lot is directly by the roadside.
