About Kvassheim Lighthouse
One of a number of older lighthouses that guided ships along the Jæren coast, Kvassheim Lighthouse was extinguished in 1990. Since being restored the lighthouse now hosts small exhibitions, a café and group accommodation. The lush surrounds are worth exploring and are particularly lovely at sunset.
Kvassheim is the starting point for the hike along Brusand Beach to Ogna (8.7 kilometers).
Kvassheim Lighthouse is located between the villages of Vigrestad and Brusand, at the southern end of Norwegian Scenic Route Jæren.
Driving along Road 44, look for signs to “Kvassheim fyr”. There is a parking lot between the small harbor and the lighthouse.
- Free parking
- Café, dining area, and toilets at the lighthouse
