About Nordneset Coastal Trail
By the village of Farstad is the white sandy Farstad Beach and the beginning of the Nordneset Coastal Trail. A stroll along the beach is worth it in any weather, and a looping trail continues around the point to the north.
Farstad Beach is located along Norwegian Scenic Route Atlanterhavsvegen, accessed by Road 663. Look for the marked turn off just north of Farstad village. Follow the road to the parking lot by the beach.
From Molde, travel north on road 64 to Vevang. Turn left on to Road 663 towards Farstad.
From Kristiansund, follow road 64 west. Join the scenic route in Kårvåg and after passing over all the bridges and through Vevang, continue straight on road towards Farstad.
From the parking lot, head along the trail towards the beach. Either walk east across the sand, or along the top of the beach where a trail continues north along the coast.
The trail is easy to follow and continues west out towards the point and the small Nordneset lighthouse. Turn around here and head back the same way, or continue east along the coast to Julshamna. From there you can follow the road back to the parking lot by the beach.
- Free parking
