The trail is well-marked and relatively easy to follow. The trail has some steep sections but doesn’t require any climbing or scrambling.

You can buy a ticket for the bus from NOR-WAY Bus Express.
If starting from Filefjellstuene then follow the road back towards the main road. 60 meters after crossing the bridge take a left onto "Kongevegen". Kongevegen is a wide trail and you will find a sign there with a blue hiker and the Kongevegen icon.

At the top of the hill, you will find a classic Norwegian outhouse toilet with a picture of the royal family on the wall.
Continue past the outhouse and also past some cabins. There is a red cabin there which might feel a bit strange to go past, but rest assure that you are on the right track. Getting past the cabin you get to the parking lot by the road where the trail up to Skørsnøse starts.
Look for an information sign and you will see where the trail continues. The trail up is now marked with white markers all the way up the top.
After 1 kilometer the trail splits in two and you should continue on the trail taking off to the left. Follow the trail as it takes you around the northern side of Skørsnøse. Before reaching the end of the trail you get to a small mountain lake where you can fill up your drinking bottle.
From the small lake, there are 650 meters of hiking left until you reach the top of Skørsnøse.
