About Spåtind 1414 meters above sea level
Spåtind (1414 metres over sea level) is the highest peak in Synnfjell and is a popular destination. The view from the top is fantastic and you can see for miles in all directions. It is approximately 10km from Krokhølen area to Spåtind 1414, and the whole trip takes around 3 to 4 hours. The route to the mountain over Høgkampflæene and along Høgkampvatnet is a lovely hike through beautiful and wild Norwegian nature.
Take fv250 and 196 and follow the signs towards Synnfjell. There are places to park in Krokhølen area and at Synnfjellporten.
There are marked trails from Strangsætra, Aasætra and Gråberga. You can choose to take in other peaks along the way, such as Svartkampen (1168 m.a.s.l), Olavskampen (1312 m.a.s.l) and Høgkampen (1360 m.a.s.l).
• The route is medium to difficult and is mostly in pleasant mountain terrain.
