About Tyinstølen - Slettningsbu
The trip starts at Tyinstølen, where there is parking. This is a place where there used to be cattle lairage. Follow the signs to Slettningsbu. The trail rises rapidøy 1100 to 1310 meters above sea level south of Tyinstølnøsen (1386 meters above sea level). Enjoy the view of the Tyin area, the mountainous lands in the west and mountains down towards Vang. You can also take a detour up to the viewpoint Tyinstølnøse. Towards Sletningsbu, the trail goes through hilly terrain with several idyllic ponds and with the large Nerre Årdal lake, which you pass on the north side. Here and there the trail is somewhat weak where it winds through moss -, creeping willow-, heather, grass and lichen heaths. From Slettningsbu, nice marked trails go to Torolmen, Kyrkjestølen and Sletterust.
