This is the easiest and shortest trip you can take in the Tyinkryss area to get nice views into the Jotunheimen, Filefjell and over the Tyinkryss area.
Grøvstølen over Børrenøse and Borrelia.
You take off from the E-16 where signs indicate "Grøvstølen" and "Filefjellstuene". At Grøvstølen, where the road ends, on the back of a residential building, there is an information board. A nice and wide trail goes uphill with slight incline, first through sparse mountain birch forests, then on bare rock. From Vesleåtjednet (1191 meters above sea level) a well-kept trail goes straight west towards Børrenøsen, where you find a great cairn.
From Børrenøsen a marked trail goes westward and down into open terrain until you get into the well-trodden path along the creek Tenla. Follow it down the highway to Gamlestøga. Several round holes in the forest floor along the trail are coal pits. Down at the summer farm road you follow this back to E-16.
