About Brennhøe

The mountaintop Brennhø is located at the far end of Asbjørnsdalen and it is easy to climb. The top is just on the border to Reinheimen National Park and the area holds exciting history of past reindeer husbandry.

Getting there

Exit E136 at Rånå, 1,3 km east of Bjorli. Follow the road for about 4,2 km and park at a big parking lot at your left hand side. Parking fee.

Trail description

Walk the path towards Asbjørnsdalen. Then further on to Tverrbekkan/Høgranden. Here you'll see a holder for salt blocks to grazing livestock. Turn left and walk towards Brennhø. At 1060 MASL you'll find a hike box, and from here there was a cable car in connection with the reindeer husbandry that took place earlier on in this area.
