About Senjatrollet

Please note: Unfortunately Senjatrollet burnt down on March 28, 2019 and it is no longer possible to visit.

The world’s largest troll can be found on Senja. Built in 1993, the troll is based upon on an ancient legend on Senja about a troll who was seen both by sea and land. In 2007 the Senja Troll found a wife and she now sits by his side.

There is a “Trollshow” everyday at 13:00 and 16:00 between the 30th of June and 5th of August.

Getting there

Senjatrollet is located along road Rv86, which forms part of Norwegian Scenic Route Senja.

It is 45 km from Finnsnes, on the road to Gryllefjord.
