Sulefjellet is one of the highest mountains in the area that is within easy reach for a day trip. We choose to go from Gamlestøga. The path to Sulebu starts on the bottom of the farms close to the fence. From Sulebu we follow the T-marked trail towards Breistølen to Suleskaret, 1500 meters above sea level. A few meters before the trail goes steeply down to Suleskardtjednet (1442 meters above sea level), turn left (southeast) into sunken terrain. Follow this a little further down and aim at something resembling a narrow road in the rock bottom of Sulefjellet going upwards to the south. Find a way up a steep edge, and follow the sunken terrain eastward toward the top. The top offers a breathtaking panorama view across the Filefjell area and the mountains in Jotunheimen.
Take off the E-16 at the sign "Tyin-Filefjell Skisenter" and drive on the toll road to "Gamlestøga", where you park your car.
