Roppehornet Hiking Trail

Roppehornet is a mountain located between Ulsteinvik and Flø on the Norwegian west coast. When walking along the edge of the mountain you can hear the waves roar beneath, while enjoying the spectacular ocean views.
On the hike up you will enjoy the fresh air, and if lucky you might get a glimpse of the eagles which often visits the area. The difficulty of the hike is medium, and suits most people. Parts of the route may be wet, so waterproof hiking shoes are recommended.
From Ulsteinvik follow road 25 northbound towards Flø. The trailhead is located 4,5 kilometers from the center of Ulsteinvik. Look for a sign showing 4 kilometers left to Flø. The trailhead starts right by the parking lot next to this sign.
The first part of the hike goes over a steep mountainside. Further on, the terrain changes and becomes flatter, before you eventually have to cross a small river and head up towards the top. When the trail splits further up, go to the left towards Roppehornet.
Return along the same trail.
