The Flubergrunden is a 32.5km round trip from Dokka Station through Odnes, Fluberg, north along the west of the fjord and back to Dokka Station. This route offers excellent cycling from April to November, with many nice spots to take a break, have a swim or fish along the way. Parts of this route follow rv33 which can be quite busy. Rv245 on the west side of Randsfjorden is less busy.
Approximately 7km after the Fluberg bridge on the way back to Dokka you will find Våten in the Dokka delta nature reserve. Here you will find the stilt building (link to stilt building), a unique bird viewing tower that is well worth a visit.

Take the exit from rv33 to Dokka centre and park at Dokka Station.
This trip starts at Dokka Station. Follow rv33 on the footpath/cycle path towards Gjøvik. At the end of the footpath/cycle path follow Gamlevegen towards Odnes. The route follows Gamlevegen until Bjørnen, where you will find a café/restaurant. After this the route follows rv33 again for a short section. Immediately after the bridge the route goes to the right onto a gravel road, that continues down towards Sedalsveien and south-east towards rv34. An alternative route is to follow rv33 until you reach the rv34 exit towards Fluberg. Follow rv34 and the signs towards Fluberg bridge. When you reach Fluberg bridge cross it and take fv245 on the west side of Randsfjorden. The route follows fv245 north-west for another 14km to Dokka Station.
The route follows footpaths and cycle paths, rv 33 and 245, as well as gravel roads.
This route is not recommended in winter.
It is a good idea to bring swimwear as the route offers lots of possibilities to swim in the fjord.
