About Bitihødn

Bitihorn is a characteristic peak with great views. There are many paths to the top with the easiest starting about 1 km south of Bygdin hotel at a huge parking lot at Stavgjerdet.

We choose instead to describe the trip from Sleipestølen at the north end of Fleinsendin. From the summer farms on the eastern side of the bridge, you walk straight east on the unmarked slope on the south side of Skyrifjell, past Kvetjednet and further on to Velumskaret. At the southern end of Kvetjednet, by a rock face that goes into the water, there is a filled reindeer grave with long fences. The remaining stretch to the top is easy enough. For heading down, you can either walk the same way back down to Sleipestølen, or choose a round trip on the north side of Skjervebottjednet, over Skyrifjellet to Velumskaret, and down to Sleipestølen.
