There isn't much that can compare to paddling in a completely still, glassy Norwegian fjord with dramatic snow capped mountains. Eresfjorden is a fjord in Nesset Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is a 10-kilometre (6.2 mi) long branch off of the main Langfjorden, which is itself a branch off the great Romsdalsfjorden. Only 450 inhabitants live in Eresfjorden village, and is surrounded by steep mountains, sea and lakes.
The fjord begins at the mouth of the Eira River near the village of Eresfjord. From Åndalsnes, head north on road 660 and continue for about 45 km. Head north on road 191 until you reach the starting point.
