About Vaset to Storefjell
This section of Mjølkevegen is the most family-friendly and it suitable for anyone who likes cycling. The plateau between Vaset, Stølsvidda and Golsfjellet is unique and perhaps the most beautiful cycling area in Norway with countless hiking possibilities.
It is easy to combine cycling along the section of Mjølkevegen with other activities like hiking, fishing or swimming. The route passes through active farming areas, where farm animals graze freely.
Getting there
This section of Mjølkevegen can be cycled in both directions or as a roundtrip for those who arrive with their own transportation.
The route is undulating with nice gravel roads and paths, and great views towards both Jotunheimen and Hemsedalsfjella.
Trail description
The trail starts at Gomobu Mountain Lodge and ends at Storefjell Resort Hotel. The trail is relatively easy with many places to stop along the road.
Amenities
Langestølen Kolonial and Café is a popular stop located along Tisleiavegen. Here you can enjoy Norwegian porridge and waffles made in the traditional way.

Gomobu Mountain Lodge and Vasetstølen Cabins are the recommended accommodations at Vaset.
In addition, it is recommended that you stop at Storefjell Resort Hotel on Golsfjellet.
