About Børesteinen

Referred to as one of the nicest viewpoints in Luster, Børesteinen is a demanding and airy hike.

Getting there

Head to Luster on Sognefjellsvegen, road 55, and park by the Luster care center. There are parking lots on both sides of the river.

Trail description

The trail starts by the Luster care center and heads up via the “old road” to the farm “Berge”. From there the trail continues up to almost 1.000 m.a.s.l. This is a demanding hike because of the elevation gain, but the path is very easy to follow the entire way. Conditions are breezy and unprotected at the top, so do not leave children unattended.

There might be some snow left on the east-facing hills until the middle of June.
