About Explore the History of Nusfjord
Nusfjord is one of the best-preserved fishing villages in Lofoten and with this Historic Walking Tour, you have the opportunity to explore the quaint fishing cabins and other buildings which have all been an integral part of the life along the coast of Norway for hundreds of years. Learn about what it was like to be a fisherman in the last century along the rugged northern coast of Norway, all while enjoying a stroll around the idyllic fishing village.
On each historic building, you will find a sign detailing the important facts about each building's purpose.
You can follow the route on your own or you can join one of the organized tours which depart from the Nusfjord Rorbuer reception at 10:00 and 14:00 every day during the high season (June-August).
From Leknes, head south on E10 south towards Å for about 22 kilometers. Turn left towards Nusfjord. Follow this road for 6 kilometers until you arrive in the fishing village. There is public parking situated very close to the Nusford Rorbuer reception building.
