Varderunden is a cross country trail taking you from open wood to high mountain terrain.

Getting there

Gamlestølen Fjellstue is located in the northwestern part of the municipality Etnedal. Detailed driving directions to Gamlestølen is found here

Trail description

Varderunden start at Gamlestølen and goes toward Langevatnet. When you reach Langevatnet you can choose to stop at a small open cabin where you can make a bonfire and play in the snow. A great journey for families with kids. 

The rest of the loop is long and not necessarily suitable for families with small kids unless you have a lot of cross country experience.
