This roughly 16 km glacier hike on Norway’s 6th largest glacier, will be the highlight of your holiday! Located in Finse, a village in western Norway, Hardangerjøkulen has glowing and jagged blue ice formations that glisten in the sun. Don’t forget to bring your camera for some epic shots.

What You’ll Do
Your journey with Jøklagutane begins at Finse Railway Station. From there you’ll gear up, and learn the safety and climbing basics of exploring the beautiful Hardangerjøkulen glacier. Hardangerjøkulen is a 1,863-meter high glacier that has many entry points, but the most well known are Blåisen and Midtdalsbreen. The total walking distance is 15 – 17 km over a 6 – 7 hour period, with a lunch break.
This trip is suitable for anyone over 12 years old in normal physical condition. It can be customized depending on your skill level and how challenged you would like to be.
