About The ridge to Tomashelleren

Start off at the barrier at the bottom of Slettefjellvegen at Hensåsen. Here you'll find parking.

Choose your own path to the top of Slettefjellet and follow the top west to Rysntjernet and up to the cabin. The ice normally is safe to some weeks after easter.

Tomashelleren cabin is a part of the DNT-system in Norway and as long as you have the key, you can eat and sleep here.

Next day head back or take the more adventurous route out Vennisfjellet. From the height 1658 and down the ridge east of Nordre Glupetjernet it´s best to take of the skis.

The last traverse back to the mountain road and the startpoint is fun skiing.
