Harkildhaugen is a short trip that suits most people; whether you are a little explorer, birdwatcher or just want to take a trip in an exiting natural history area.
Exit E136 near Joramo, signposted Vestsidevegen and Traasdahl. Follow Vestsidevegen over a bridge and turn left onto Blæsetervegen. Drive 1.4 km and park by the road about 500 m from Kvennmoen fur farm.
Harkildhaugen is a characteristic moraine ridge, located close to a small tarn, Storrtjønne. On the top of the ridge you can relax and enjoy the view from a bench. The area is also a bird biotope. Maybe you'll see a special bird?
Since the area at Harkildhaugen is a bird biotope, extra attention must be paid during the nesting period.
