Brings viewpoints to the next level
- Destination: Senja
- Season: January-December
Tungeneset on Senja brings viewpoints and picnic areas to the next level, with its Nordic design structure nestled between the Steinfjord and the Ersfjord. From this walkway constructed with Siberian larch wood, you will enjoy views of the Norwegian Sea in the west, and the intense Okshornan mountain range, also known as Devil’s Jaw, in the north.
The wooden walkway ends with a few concrete steps near the sea and boulders. This area along the sea makes a wonderful place for an afternoon picnic or even a place to watch the sunset or northern lights. Whatever your reason is for visiting, make sure you bring your camera to capture the idyllic scenery.
Drive north from Steinfjord, on Road 862. If driving from Road 861, continue straight onto Road 862. Parking is just a few meters before the walkway.
