Muletua is a small mountain on the north side of Nerlandsøya island, in the western part of Herøy. The peak can found in a rugged coastal terrain and there is a steep drop towards the North Sea. However, the south side is quite gentle and very easy to hike.
Muletua is similar to the Runde Bird Island , which is located to the north and both are really good places to watch the sunset.
In Kvalsvika the road ends in a T-junction where you should turn left towards Mulevika. Just before the trailhead, there is a parking lot to the left. There is also a large parking lot at the end of the road.
It's easy to spot the trailhead from the road. Just look for the signs.
You will pass a few trail junctions during the hike. Keep to the left, and you will find the way. At the summit, there is also a small cabin. It's a nice place to rest if the wind is chilling.
- Bring some extra clothes in case of wind.
- Free parking
