About Steinstugu til Eivind Fredlaus

Follow District road some meters West of Leveld school. Exit in to Kvednavegen, to the left, and walk through the neighborhood Gunnarhaugen. Follow the floodlit trail crossing the river Votna. Turn left at the next crossroad and follow the trail further on. Where the trail turns down, one goes on for about 200 meters up Westwards. Follow red marking until you reach the stonehouse where Eivind Fredlaus lived when he was in the village.

You can also parke at Leveld Kunstnartun and walk down the old forest road just East of the art museum. After crossing the river Votna, enter the floodlit trail and follow it West until you reach the stonehouse.

The stonehouse is a large hole between some massive stone blocks. Follow the signage to get into the hole, or crawl into the hut by sneaking under the one stone block from the lower side.

Furthermore, there are three options:

Either go back the same way, take a walk along the hole floodlit path (2.5km in total), or walk 100m Westwards towards the forest road, follow it over Votna, and walk the district road to where you parked.

How to get there:

Follow District road 244 to Leveld school. Or drive to Leveld Kunstnartun.

Parking:

At Leveld school or Leveld Kunstnartun.

Km / masl:

Ca 2.5 km if you walk it as a roundtrip when you start at the school.

681 - 740 masl.
