What You’ll Do

You’ll begin with getting an introduction to SUP on the lake when you will get all the basics. Then you’ll travel to the Vosso river. Outdoor Norway's qualified guide will provide instructions (dry land and on-the-water) so that you not only have a great trip, but learn skills that you can apply to future paddleboard outings as well. The group will be relatively small, allowing good communication with your experienced guide while you SUP the river. This tour is a great option for those who are keen on learning more advanced SUP techniques required to run the rivers. 

The minimum age for this tour is 10 years. You must be able to swim. Normal physical health with a weight limit of 120kg. Please inform the guide of any medical conditions such as asthma, epilepsy, etc.

Outdoor Norway is located in the outdoor lounge tent by the lakeside of Vangsvatnet in Voss. The address is Evangervegen 15, 5700 Voss.

It's only 50 meters in front of Fleischer’s Hotel and 50 meters beside the Kulturhus (Culture House – Library) and only 100 meters from the train and bus station.

The closest town is Voss which is located in Western Norway and easily accessible from Bergen and also from Oslo. Sognefjellsvegen is perfect to use as an entry point to Voss if you have the opportunity to travel by car.


There are trains leading directly from both Bergen and Oslo to Voss. From Oslo, it takes about 5.5 hours, only 1.55 hours from Bergen.

From Oslo, take Valdresekspressen. The journey from Oslo to Voss takes around 7.5 hours. From Bergen, Valdresekspressen takes 1.5 hours to reach Voss.
