About Vaset to Syndin Round Trip
Imaging riding through a landscape with lakes, small rivers, and untouched nature. In this bike ride, you will also experience lots of both old and new mountain farms. Mountain farming is an old tradition in Norway, and in the summertime, you may meet sheeps, cows and perhaps other animals as well. This trip is mostly on dirt roads, but some path and lower quality roads can be expected.
This bike route starts at Vaset in Valdres. Getting to Vaset by public transportation is hard so a car is your best option. You can park the car at Vasetsenteret.
From Vaset follow Panoramaveien towards the southeast. After biking along Reindsennvatnet on your left-hand side you, turn to the right towards Jaslangen. Keep right until you reach the bottom part of the mountain Grønsennknipa. 100 meters after the picnic site, you need to turn left into the trail where you see the signs towards Midtre Syndin. This trail is about 3 km long.
On the other end of the trail follow the road along Midtre Syndin then follow the road around the lake as it starts turning back towards Vaset. Follow this road along Søre Syndin and then back to Vaset. On the way back there are some small sections where you need to push the bike over some wet areas.
