Trail description

During the summer season, local volunteers will give you a warm welcome and demonstrate traditional baking and various crafts. We have farm animals, typical for a mountain farm in the 18th and 19th century. The museum is a great place for children to run around and play, we have activities for children each Wednesday, where you can participate and try different crafts techniques.

The museum has several exhibitions, were you can learn more about the local history. Our exhibitions span a variety of subjects such as Reindeer hunting, fishing traditions and the history behind Norway’s first national park. You can also experience works by local artists and photographers.

In the museum entrance building you find our museum shop. Here we offer a variety of handcraft, toys and local products. We also have toilet facilities and a café that is open on weekends.

Refreshments throughout the summer.
