About Stalheim to Nåli
The hike to Nåli takes you through some scenic views of the Nærøydalen Valley. Nåli farm is an old cotter's farm last used in the 1930s. The trail has recently been restored and is well marked with excellent information boards at the start of the trail as well as at Nåli farm.
This hike is relatively easy and takes approximately one hour each way. However, one should be aware that part of the trail follows an edge and may not be suitable for those afraid of heights. We recommend that you wear good hiking boots, as parts of the trail can be wet and slippery.
The trail starts right by Stalheim Hotel near Voss. Take the main road E16 towards Gudvangen and after about 30 minutes look for the sign to Stalheim. Take a left here and follow the road up to the hotel.
Go past Stalheim Hotel and find the gravel road that starts right after the hotel with an information board about the Nåli farm. Follow the road through the countryside and take a right at Brekke farm down towards the river. The junction has clear markers for where you should go.
On the other side of the river, go past another farm until the trail heads into the forest. Continue along the trail and after a bit, you reach the area where the trail follows an edge. A bit longer and you reach the remnants of the Nåli farm.
