About Finnbunuten

From Finnbunuten you can on a clear day you can enjoy magnificent views of glaciers such as Hardangerjøkulen, Jostedalsbreen, and Folgefonna. If you are lucky you may catch a glimpse of some reindeer, as the grazing ground in the area surrounding Finnbunuten is vital for the wild reindeer during the summer and autumn months.

Getting there

From Voss take road E16 towards Gudvangen. When you get to the round-about in Vinje take a left up towards Myrkdalen on road 13. Follow this road past the Myrkdalen ski center and just after look for a small white sign towards "Vetlebotn støl". Straight away you have to go through a small tool booth before you drive the 3 kilometers up to the end of the road. 

Trail description

Head up along the "Kari Traa ski lift" which is the ski lift furthest east up the mountain. From the top of the ski lift follow the ridge(no trail) up to the top of Finnbunuten.
