About Manshausen Sea Cabins

A getaway on the edge of it all !

Manshausen is a unique hotel comprised of a collection of buildings on an island off the coast of Northern Norway.

Set on 55 acres, there are 4 seacabins that have dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows that extend over the water, while the main house accommodates the kitchen, dining area, and library. Activities at this (almost) year-round resort include alpine skiing, rock climbing, kayaking, diving, cycling, fishing, and hiking. An outdoor adventure-lover’s dream location!

Thought and designed for couples, families or good friends, each cabin has a main bedroom with a 1,60m bed with spectacular views. Then a second bedroom which has 2 beds: 1,40, and 90cm wide. It's a very convenient distribution, perfect for a couple, alone or with children on second bedroom and can accommodate up to 4 adults. One private toilet and shower  per unit.

We do not require a minimum stay, so you can enjoy from one to any number of nights with us.

And our basic rate is 3.200 Norwegian crown for 2 adults, 2.500 Nok if single use, and 700 Nok each extra person on second bedroom (only 350 Nok if under 16). Breakfast is included on this rate, as well as final cleaning, linen, towels, and the boat transport when you arrive and leave.

Each unit is self catering as there is a stove, fridge, and utensils, you are of course welcome to bring supplies with you or buy at the local grocery store in Nordskot, and if you want to eat with us we also serve lunch and dinners (on request) at the Hovedhuset.

Getting here:
Our closest airport is  Bodø (BOO) and from there the most convenient transport method is to take the fast boat, or "hurtigbåt"
The boat terminal is just 5 minutes away by taxi from the airport, or 15 minute walking, and the boat takes about 1h30 m to arrive to Nordskot, our stop. Upon arrival we will pick you up for the short boat ride to the Island (about 400m).
This same boat keeps going towards Svolvær, in Lofoten, so another route is to head South towards us.
Yet another option is to rent a car at Bodø and drive (3.5hrs). Then you have a car at Nordskot for excursions and more flexibility to get there and back, and for flights.
