Sailing boats at Aslakkane

- Distance: 1.8 kilometers (out‑and‑back)
- Elevation Gain: 190 meters
- Duration: 1–1.5 hours
This is a fun small adventure for all kids out there. Before you head out make some simple boats out of wood. Bring the boats along on the hike up to Aslakkane and sail them down the creek. Aslakkane is a very open area and the creeks runs through this open area so it is easy to see the boat going down the creek. Kids find this activity super exiting and on a sunny day Aslakkane is also perfect for all parents with plenty of sun and views of the valley.
Note that if there is a lot of water in the creek some boats might go missing as they follow the creek away from Aslakkane. So don't bring anything you don't want to loose. You could also just use some sticks or something you find up there as boats.
If you have some extra time you could also visit Knabben which is right by.
Drive up through Solbergelva and when you enter the forest you will get to a toll gravel road that goes for about 800 meter before you find the parking lot on both sides of the road. You pay for the road and parking at the parking lot.
