About Asbjørnsdalen

Asbjørnsdalen in Reinheimen National Park is a great area for outdoor activities, both in summer and winter.

Getting there

To get to Asbjørnsdalen; drive off the E136 towards Rånå, about 1.3 km east of Bjorli. Follow the road approx. 4.2 km and park on a large parking on your left. Parking fee.

Trail description

It is a good trail across the valley. When you cross the forest boundary, the high mountain opens and you have to walk your own paths. There are several suitable daytrip destinations here. The summit closest to starting point, is Brennhø. Otherwise you can easily reach the Kvernhushøi, Gravarhøi and Herrahøene Mountains.

Skiing in the spring in Asbjørnsdalen is highly recommended.

Where to stay

Lesja mountain board has three cabins for rent in about 3-6 hours of walking up Asbjørnsdalen; Skurveosbua, Nordre Grønvatnbua og Storvatnbua.
